Utilities

Water Heater

New unit installed by Fast Water Heater company in December 2010.

Plumbing

Vertical plumbing on the east side of the building was replaced in 1986.
Vertical plumbing on the west side of the building appears to have been replaced in 1988 or 1989.

Electrical Wiring

  • Common Areas: New wiring installed and lighting fixtures added/replaced summer 2010. Work completed by All Hour Electric.
  • Unit 101: New wiring installed in late 1970s or early 1980s. A single outlet (below the most southerly window on the west wall) remains service by knob-and-tube.

  • Unit 105: New wiring installed in kitchen circa 2000.
  • Unit 106:

Structures

Rear Stairwell

  • Landing btw 2nd and 3rd floors: railings, flooring and structural beams entirely replaced due to dry rot in December 2009 by House Doctors. Underlying wood is white cedar. The House Doctors franchise that completed the work entered bankruptcy after the work was completed.
  • Landing btw 1st and 2nd floors: railings replaced in December 2009 by House Doctors

Roof

Roof replaced with torch down summer of 2009.
Roof patched in the winter of 2009/2010.

Paint

  • Interior common areas were repainted in 2009, including the laundry room, utility room and paint closet. 2nd floor, 3rd floor, and laundry room, utility room and paint closet were painted by owner volunteers.
  • Rear stairwell repainted in 2009 and 2010.
  • Rear ramp repainted in 2009.
  • Front entryway repainted in 2009.
  • Stucco repainted in 2000.
  • Windows frames on south, east and north walls painted in 2000.

Installed in 1990

Storage Lockers

Appear to have been installed in 1979.

Building Windows

  • West wall windows:
    • units 101, 103, 105, 201, 203, 301 and 303 replaced October 2010 by Renewal By Andersen.
      • Units 101, 103 and 201 had Series 1 windows installed.
      • Units 105, 203, 301 and 303 had Series 2 windows installed.
    • Basement windows likely remain the original windows (circa 1918).
  • North wall windows:
    • Unit 103 replaced October by Renewal by Andersen. Owner of unit 103 paid out of personal funds to install Series 1 windows on north wall.
    • Units 104, 203, 204, 303, 304 and the basement common areas have a mix with most windows appearing to be the original windows (circa 1918).
  • South wall windows
    • Units 101 and 302 appear to have had replacement windows installed in the 1980s.
    • Unit 105 had aluminum windows installed about a decade ago.
    • Units 102, 104, 106, 202, 204, 304 and the basement common areas appear to have the original windows (circa 1918)
  • West wall windows:
    • Unit 302 appear to have had replacement windows installed in the 1980s.
    • Units 102, 104, 106, 202, 204, 304 and the basement common areas appear to have the original windows (circa 1918)
